No more PRC tests to ride the rails! No more testing if you work from home! No more mass testing! And this is how China will reverse its dynamic zero: it will just change the numbers. And the science (or news reporting thereof)!
Canada gone from World Cup, but at least they scored a goal. Why is Canadian soccer so bad?

Making stir fries with the vegetables, now my fridge is full.
Double workout done. Did NOT feel like getting up and rushing out the door so sat for a bit. No rush today which was nice. Three mile run + rounds. Was not feeling any strength so had to divy up the workout.
30 pull ups
60 push ups
100 squats
Then rounds of
5 or 10 pull ups
10 pushups
20 squats
Totals of 65, 120, 200.
Took 25 minutes. Not bad. Still have to figure out why I cant do more pull ups in a row.
Weekend’s up so beers up! (Try a non-alc one before your regular.)

Spent most of the day reading through the A-Z of ELT brushing up on terminology.

Wow… that changed quick!
No NATs needed for most places, just scan and keep going. Travel opens up but… does anyone have any vacation days left?
When will China open its borders and when will it let its people get passports again? That being the case, some seem to be taking off for the holidays: Britain, France notably.
DELTA prep… last day! Kinda want it over with but at the same time want to make sure I actually can do well. Lots of terminology prep with Quizlet.
On the up side?
Baklava! Omg! Sent from Taiyuan, this lady makes her own. 180 kuai for 1 kg of the stuff. Well worth it!

The virus spreads! Aiya!
December drumming tracks, let’s see what I can finally post today! Worked on some new tracks. Made some drafts but wasnt happy with how they turned out.
A day off turned into a day on sooo that kinda occupied my time.
Workouts in!
Morning:
3 miles – 33.32
67 pull ups
125 pushups
205 air squats (i think)
total time – 22.37
Did these all in rounds of 5 10 15 respectively
Afternoon:
2 miles
Slow lifts
Listened to some Foreign Affairs articles: Olaf Scholz and another about the situation in Haiti. A global Zeitenweide – the Russian invasion changed things.
And the IRS is going after your side hustle, lowering threshold from $20,000 to $600! So that’s now they are paying for all that ‘free money’ they gave away a few years back. Ouch.

Not sure for how long. Got a scratchy throat right now.
Ah, yea, I felt like that on Saturday. Then it hit later that night. You’ll be fine cause you’re healthy, it’s just the first 2 or 3 days that suck.

Soooo… did three miles after work cause… throat is scratchy. Who knows what the week will bring!
Hong Kong open! No quarantine! Would love to go again!
And it’s gone, that health tracker that has been with us for so long and had so many Bao An screamming at us… is no more. Did you watch the rollover at midnight?
Working on SSP35… doesn’t take that long does it? Just the little things, icons, text, sound checks… vid clips. It’s on it’s way.

Short one today cause I think Ive got it… THE VIRUS!
Pain all over, slept most of the day. Could be the start of something much worse or a one and done.
Progression of symptoms.
Didnt eat very much and no working out!

Still fighting ‘it’, painful morning but some painkillers fixed that.
December Drumming still rolling along. I seem to be sticking to digital kits this year. May try to move away towards the end of the month.
Connection issues persist.
Looking ahead for the next few months and what I can expect to accomplish. I might need some other help but I’m not sure where because all of my stuff is very much situated on my computer.

Christmas Eve eve Ukrainian Christmas songs on the keyboard Streets are quiet and media is making a big dral out of the spike in COVID cases here. Wasnt that the idea? No morning workout but I did get an afternoon workout in. Christmas cooking: last year we tried perogies and kutia, this year I want to add borscht and shortbread. And there is a question: if working from home, how much longer can I live in an apartment that I can never own in a job that has substantially changed in its availability and that even I’m trying to automate? Cancer was really bad before… took a long time to kill you and smelled bad. And given all this, what’s the point of eating healthily and working out? Last episode of the year! Should I have done a review episode? Maybe that would have been a good idea. Recorded over 5000 minutes of audio. Standardized the 20 minutes or so. Like a conversation. Did another 8 big podcasts. That’s not enough! Career changes, how to know when to move on? JP Getty: lots of money out there, best way is to own your own business. The question becomes: would you want to deal with the customers your company deals with? Got the workouts in today. Went out at lunch. I kinda like the lunch time workout instead of morning now. Just seems to work. 13 minutes to do 50 pull ups, 100 pushups and 150 squats.
