Hey all, just wanted to update you on what’s been going on. So for those of you who don’t know yet, I’ve accepted a position at a university in Beijing, China. That’s right, my travels “continue” so to speak as I once again return to the classroom as an ESL teacher. I just finished some training here in Montreal, Canada and will be making my way overseas in the near future. I’m a little cautious about the offer still, however, mainly because of the events in Russia and that region. I suppose in some ways it’s just like five years ago when I was in South Korea with the concerns about the North invading the South. And look how that turned out.
In any event, I’m also not too concerned about emigrating or any other such thing mainly because I’ve done this before to the extent that, in my mind, I’ll be back in Canada before I know it. It’s amazing how time flies.
In other news, I’ve completed another album, this time a percussion album. This marks my second attempt as a solo artist and my first fully-solo effort. I wrote, arranged, recorded, mixed and mastered the thing all by myself. I’ll be putting it up on Bandcamp on a donate what you like basis.
